Privacy notice

nesket is run by [JAMES: legal entity name], [JAMES: registered business address]. We decide what personal data is collected and why. Write to us at nesket.in@gmail.com.

• Your mobile number, so we and your rider can contact you about your order. You do not log in with it, and we do not use it for marketing.
• Your name, delivery address, pincode, landmark and delivery note, to deliver your order. The pincode also tells us your delivery zone and fee.
• Your location, only if you choose to share it at checkout, to help your rider find the door. If you do not share it, we do not collect it.
• What you order: the items, the price you saw, the delivery fee and the slot you picked, so we can buy, deliver and account for it.
• Small cookies on your device that hold your basket, your zone and the language you chose for product names. They are not used for advertising.

• Your consent, which you give at checkout when you place an order with these details.
• Delivering what you asked for: once you place an order, we use your details to buy, deliver and account for it, which the law allows as a legitimate use of data you gave us for that purpose.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us; we then stop using your details except to finish an order already on its way.

• To stop abuse, our price and counting services limit how often one connection can call them. We store a one-way scrambled form of your IP address, never the address itself, and delete it within about an hour.
• The home page counts which sections are viewed and tapped, using a random id made in your browser tab. It is not linked to your account or your orders, it ends when you close the tab, and raw counts are deleted after 7 days.
• Our hosting providers keep their own request logs, which include IP addresses, under their own retention.

• Your rider sees your name, address, landmark and phone only while buying and delivering your order, and not before or after.
• Neighbours in a pool never see your name, address or basket. In a pool everyone is Person 1, Person 2.
• Our team sees your order to run it. Your phone and address are shown to a team member only when they need them for your delivery, and every time is recorded with who looked and why.
• Service providers who host our website and database (Vercel, and Supabase in Mumbai) process data only to run nesket.

We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

The shop videos on our home page are filmed to show shelves, not people. If you appear in one and want to be removed, write to us and we will take it down the same day.

• Delivery details (the name, phone, address, landmark, note and any location on an order) are deleted 90 days after the order is delivered, cancelled or refunded.
• Your own name and phone are deleted 365 days after your latest order.
• The record of the sale (what was ordered, the prices, the fee and the payment) is kept without your name or address, because tax and accounting rules require a record of every sale.
• Security records are deleted within about an hour and raw section counts within 7 days, as above.

These periods are provisional while nesket is in preview. If we change them, this page will say so first.

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you,
• correct it or bring it up to date,
• delete it, except what the law requires us to keep for a completed sale,
• name someone to act for you if you cannot.

Write to nesket.in@gmail.com from the number or name on your order and we will reply.

To have your data deleted, write to the same address with your order reference (it starts NK-). Once no order of yours is still on its way, we delete your name, phone, addresses and delivery details, and the notes our team wrote about your orders. We keep only the record of the sale, without your name or address, as above.

Our grievance officer is [JAMES: grievance officer name and designation], reachable at nesket.in@gmail.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
